The apparel regulation is valid for training, qualification, semi-final and final rides.
Motorcycle must be in the original state.
Meaning the motorcycle must not be improoved by any means, not even the splasher removed or any other lightening.
Purely serial made motorcycle.< br>
Even so called „replicas“ belong to this category.
Using replacement for original part sis not considered as an improovement of the bike (example. Using cylinders type 634 on type 360 etc.).
Drilling of the cylinder is tolerated up to eight thin section. Change of the secondary gearing is allowed, exhausts must be serial or replicas.
There are no special demands on the frame of the „special“. If the frame is your own construction, must be sufficiently tightly constructed. The engine cannot be used as a support of the frame. Minimal cross section of the supporting tubes must be 25x1,5mm, of the spinal frames 45x1,5mm. When using „Jekl“ its minimal girth must be 100 mm and thickness 1,5 mm. In category „under 50 ccm special“ it’s possiblr to use a tube with minimal 22mm in diameter, for spinal frames it’s 40 mm.
Engine requirements:
- Engine must be used the same as for normal traffic running. That means serial production.
- Pit and cylinder apparel must be original! The only allowed pit changes from outside are those, which are necessary for recess ot the suction membrane and lead suction directly to latch space. Repairing welds are tolerated. Including repairs after grinding the canals through pit or cylinder.
- Inside the engine, everyone is allowed to do whatever they want (latch, transmission, pit adjustments, cylynder adjustments). Even the side covers of the engine can be adjusted.
- Regrinding of the cylinders for maximum potential capacity of the cylinders is allowed. Only original cylinder or replica can be used for such improovement! Any type of cylinder filler is allowed. It’s forbidden to move cylinder bolts!
- In suction you can use membrane, gate valve or even more carburetors.
- Ignition can be arbitrary. Programable or from different motorcycle type.
- Engine cannot be „race type“ originally from production, including types 593, ČZ line 5xx etc..
- It’s forbidden to use supercharger, turbo or NOS!
All motorcycles in „Special“ category must have functional „stop ignition system“ installed, in case of loosing contact with the bike. The princip can be based on disconnecting of the source from the ignition coil, or short circuit the input of the coil. Both depends on the fact, if the motorcycle is equipped with barrier or non-barrier ignition. So called „breaker“ must be connected to the riders hand with cord or a string with length between 0,3m to 0,6 m.
All motorcycles must be equipped with upper cover of the chain, which is made from at least 1mm thick iron profile or from at least 2 mm thick dural (hard aluminium). No other material is allowed.
If at the secondary gearing is the distance between the center of the rear wheel and the center of the engine sprocket is more than 0,65 m, the secondary gearing must be equipped with the lower guide of the chain. That will be hold in front of the rear sprocket and will have side chain guiding (same system as Motocross motorbykes has).
Exhausts, nor any different part, cannot shape the outside of the motorcycle, which means that the legs must always be on the outside of exhausts and other elements of the motorcycle.
Minimal gap between motorcycle and the race track must be 70 mm.
The only usable fuel can be GASOLINE.
'Libeňák' type engines are allowed, because they are serial constructed.
Restrictions for this category are the same as „Special Category“.
This category is ment for motorcycles Jawa and ČZ, which was originally produced for sport races. Example: Jawa 593, ČZ line 5xx, Praga etc..
Motorcycle must be equipped with „stop ignition system“.
Category is ment for dragster specials, which was used for races during 80’s and 90’s. It‘s specials that originates from speedway Jawa 500 – 600 ccm motorcycles. Condition is to prove the motorcycle was really raced. Best by a picture from the past, which must the Rider show during the acceptance.
Nitrogen use is also forbidden!
Motorcycle must be equipped with „stop ignition system“.
Technical certificate is not demanded.
Motorcycle must have both brakes fully functional and adjusted to the engine performance (especially at „special category“).
Furthermore the motorcycle cannot leak fluids like oil, fuel, break fluid etc..
Motorcycle check will be done during technical acceptance.
Rider must allow the motorcycle check when he is asked by the organizer, including measuring the drilling of the cylinder. The oraganizer can ask anytime during the acceptence ort he race itself.
Every rider has four race rides, in which he tries to perform the fastest ride through picked part of the race track. If the rider does not have at least two valid times, he is disqualified.
The time starts whith the green light, it counts the riders reaction.
The race winner is the one who has best average time from two his best rides.
If not defined otherwise, the tracks race space is defined like this: The race track begins with „warm-up space“. Its a space, when rider can have his motorcycles engine started to warm it up.
Then follows „pre-start space”. It’s defined with cones, or with vertical traffic labeling at the beggining and the end. The follows „start space“. Thats where every race starts. Follows „race track”. After 200m there is finish crossing gate, which measures riders time and speed. Then follows breaking space. Which is always part of the track. The tracks end is marked with two cones.
„Gathering space” is located at the end of the race track, on its left or right side, which is specified by the organizer before the race begins.
On the left side of the racing track is „depo“. Space where rider background is located.
On the right side of the track is space for the spectators. Its devided from the race track with yellow, red or orange safety tape (or its combinations).
Pre-start space can be occupied by Riders from announced class. Only one driver in each lane enters the race track when marshal instructs them. Going across the start line during start is not considered as premature start.
Start is directed by start lights. Lights has two parts:
1) „IN – RIDE lights” – during drive-in to the start line, two white lights starts to flash one at a time. Those signal the right position on the starting line. If both riders are on the right position – both white lights will be on and the race can be started.
2) „Starting lights” – it has three stages.
Red colour signals premature start.
Yellow signal preparation for the start.
Green signals start.
Starting procedure itself goes like this, three yellow lights are lit on and off on the starting semafor, after that the green light is lit on. That indicates the start of the race.
If the riders engine will turn off during this session, or the rider starts the race prematurely, his ride is not valid and he recieves penalty 99sec.
After the start, rider attempts to get to the finnish as fast as possible.
After crossing the finish line, all riders must start reducing their speed – breaking.
Even after speed reduction, they must reach the end of the race track. They can move to the gathering space, after they reached the race track end.
Riders can return to the beggining of the race track, after they are commanded to do so by the organizers. The command will get the last rider of the current class, ort he riders will be noticed to return by flashing lights, which are located on the start space.
All riders are obliged to return without any „shenanigans“ (wheelies etc.) and with maximum speed of 30 kph.
The option of applying a protest is conditioned with a bail of 500 CZK. If the protest will be acknowledged and breaking the rules will be proved, the bail will be returned and the transgressor will be disqualified. You cannot file a protest or complaint against the organizers.
Riders will get a summary of these rules. Riders will get explained complete race system and they will be warned with safety risks. Further more they will be explained how should they behave, so they wouldn’t endanger health of themselfs and the spectators, or didn’t couse some property damage.
